BAXTER - Bernice Mae Rock, 83, of Baxter, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Minn. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Brainerd with Pastor Kris McKusky officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Private family interment will take place at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
Bernice was born September 6, 1925, the daughter of Joseph (Ed) and Matilda (Blanck) LeDoux in Brainerd. She attended Brainerd High School. She was united in marriage to Maurice Brusseau, following his death she married Norman Rock in 1967. Bernice was a member of the Moose Club, VFW, Eagles Club and the American Legion.
She is survived by her children, Carol (Bill) Olson, of Brainerd, Mike (Laurel) Brusseau, of Brainerd, Maureen Engholm, of Brainerd, and Debbie Holton, of Brainerd; stepdaughter, Kathy (Darrel) Bahr; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Bjorngjeld, of Minneapolis, Marilyn (Hank) Frasl, of Brainerd, and Gail (Chuck) Rothemeier, of Hutchinson; brothers, Ray LeDoux, of Arizona, and Richard LeDoux, of Brainerd; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Brusseau; two husbands; her parents; and brothers, Allen and Dean LeDoux.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
