EXTRA CREDIT

Brian Agre, Carmen Cummings, Andrew Kubas and Kellen Riley, Brainerd High School students, competed in the National Forensic League 2004 National Speech Tournament in Salt Lake City this summer. All qualified for the national tournament by winning at the Northern Lights District tournaments earlier in the year. Agre competed in student congress, Cummings and Riley competed in Lincoln-Douglas debate, and Kubas competed in U.S. extemporaneous speaking. David Pritschet and Jan Cummings coach the students.

Kristine Jensen, daughter of Mark and Karla Jensen, Pierz, has been named to the 2004 homecoming royal court at Concordia College, Moorhead. The theme is "Today's Traditions, Tomorrow's Memories."

Colin Patrick Ryan, son of Mary Claire and Dan Ryan, Brainerd, recently graduated with a bachelor of science degree from St. John's University, Collegeville.

Jase Renneke, Brainerd, recently enrolled as a new student at Lipscomb University, Nashville. He is a pre-physical therapy major.
