Tigers take it to Blackduck 58-8

PINE RIVER - Levi Allen rushed for four touchdowns as the Pine River-Backus Tigers smothered Blackduck 58-8 in a Nothern Plains Conference contest Friday night.

"Tonight, we played very well on both sides of the ball," said Tigers coach Randy Schwegel, whose team rebounded from a 66-6 conference loss to Hawley last week.

Allen carried 16 times for 139 yards and scored on runs of 9, 2, 14 and 27 yards. He also ran for two conversions and caught a conversion pass fom quarterback Nathan Holm.

Sophomore running back Russel Burgoyne rushed for two touchdowns, while Derek Sonenstahl and Holm each had one rushing touchdown.

PRB outrushed Blackduck 337-65 in establishing a 368-126 total offense advantage.
