Brainerd Lakes Curling Association to host open house on Oct. 11

Posted: Friday, October 03, 2008

The Brainerd Lakes Curling Association is hosting an open house at the Hallett Community Center in Crosby from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 11.

Attendees will learn how to curl from certified instructors. All ages are welcome. There is no cost to attend.

This will be the third year of league curling at the Hallett Center. Leagues are forming and the open house is a chance to try the sport and see if you might want to join the club for a winter of curling.

Leagues play on Saturday nights, about every other week the end of October through the first week of March. The BLCA is also starting a youth league. More information will be available at the open house.

For more information, call Tom Jones (218) 927-5686.
