Pierz girls finish 4th, boys 6th at Big Lake

BIG LAKE -- The Pierz Pioneers girls' cross country team ran to a fourth place finish while the Pioneers boys finished sixth at the Big Lake-Becker Invitational Cross Country meet held Monday.

Stacy Britz forged ahead of her competitors to lead the efforts of the Pierz girls and finish third overall with a time of 16:17. Pioneer Kaley Jensen turned in a time of 17:10 to finish in 11 place.

In the boys' competition, Pioneer Scott Fischer finished ninth, touring the course in 18:17. Brett Meyer's time of 19:11 was good enough for a 20 place finish.
