The Brainerd Kiwanis Club, which is celebrating its 50th year of service in the Brainerd lakes area, recently announced its officers for 2004-2005.
They are Chris Kellett-Sawdey, president; Tom Norman, president-elect; Chris Robinson, first vice president/sergeant at arms; Mary Pederson, secretary; and Anita Supinski, treasurer.
Board members for 2004-2005 are Blaine Larson, Buzz Johnson, Richard Esser, Maxine Bogue, Steve Kohls, Mike Lambert and Brian Lehman.
The Brainerd Kiwanis Club is an organization of service- and community-minded individuals who support children and young adults throughout the Brainerd area and around the world. Kiwanis focuses on the needs of children in pediatric trauma, safety, child care, early development, infant health, nutrition and parenting skills.
Kiwanis projects also address other needs within the community, such as promoting literacy, supporting youth sports and recreation, responding to disasters and supporting specific people in need.
The Kiwanis Club meets noon Mondays at the Ramada Inn in Brainerd.
