Montessori School to hold meeting
The Montessori School of Brainerd will hold a public meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10.
Mary Theresa Anderson, principal and owner, will present goals and values of the Montessori method of education and show slides of children working with materials representing all areas of the program.
Parents, grandparents and teachers of young children are especially invited.
Child seat clinic, giveaway set
Another 80 child safety seats will be given away this weekend.
The Crow Wing County Child Abuse Prevention Council and Brainerd Kiwanis are sponsoring the child passenger seat clinic and giveaway.
The clinic is set from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church on Eighth Avenue Northeast in Brainerd.
To date, the clinic has given away 180 seats to qualified registrants and educated parents, grandparents and caregivers on selecting the proper seat for a child and installing it.
