Christian hip-hop concert set

BAY Ministries, Charter Communications, Steelroots and the Inspiration Network are sponsoring the concert.

UCC forum to continue

Pastor Deborah Celley will continue her forum series "What You Would Have Learned at Sunday School, Had You Been Paying Attention" with a topic, "The Big Picture: Faith and History Timeline," at 11 a.m. Sunday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 415 Juniper St., across from the southwest corner of Gregory Park in Brainerd.

Strings of Light to perform

Strings of Light will perform at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Christ Community Church in Nisswa. The group also will perform at 7 p.m. Strings of Light is a new group from Riverview Church in Pine River.

Fall bazaar scheduled

Aitkin United Methodist Church will hold its fall bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be crafts, baked goods, Grandpa's Attic, a fish pond for kids and more. Lunch will be served all day. The church is at 104 Second St. N.W., one block west of the stoplights in Aitkin.

Upcoming Michaelmas Services

The Brainerd Laestadian Lutheran Church will host Michaelmas Services and presentations this weekend. All are welcome to attend any of the events. Pastor Randall Herrala from Rockford will be the guest speaker. There will be a presentation 6:30 p.m. Saturday titled "Children" followed by an evening of devotion and refreshments. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Lutefisk and meatball supper on tap Oct. 9

First Lutheran Church, Pine River, will have a lutefisk and meatball supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 9. The menu will be lutefisk, lefse and trimmings. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under 6. Matching funds are provided by Hubbard Cass County Chapter No. 31305 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

St. Francis Catholic School fish fry set

St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School will host a fish fry 4:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the St. Francis Church Hall, North Ninth and Juniper streets, Brainerd. Cost: $6 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds will benefit St. Francis of the Lakes Catholic School.

Old Time Gospel Night slated

Brainerd Assembly of God Church, Business Highway 371 South, will have Old Time Gospel Night at 7 p.m. Oct. 8. For more information or to participate in the music, contact Lowell Jaeger at 829-0674.
