Lydeen, Pequot boys, W-DC girls win titles

LONGVILLE - Silas Lydeen finished first with a personal-best time of 16:57 and led the Pequot Lakes boys to the title in the Northland-Deer River Invite Tuesday.

Adison Runberg, Jake Braam and Jacob Headlee finished in the top 10 for the Patriots.

Travis Wheeler and Joe Smith raced to top-10 finishes for Pine River-Backus.

The W-DC boys' team was led by Neil Janson who clocked a fifth-place time of 17:53.

Wadena-Creek won the girls' team title as Hannah Toedter finished second with a time of 16:43. Emma Schmitz finished fifth for the Wolverines and Mary McGrane ended up eighth.

The Pequot Lakes girls' team finished second, led by Kylie Beltz in third place and Jackie-Brine-Doyle in sixth.

Pillager's Kayla Rardin, Sarah Neururer and Shauna Maurer finished in the top 10.
