Irene H. Webber

Irene Harriet (Holmes) Webber, 102, died Sept. 26, 2008, at Woodland Good Samaritan in Brainerd, Minn.

She was born April 12, 1906, in Harrisburg, Mich., the daughter of Godfrey and Katherine Fleming Holmes. After graduating from college, she taught elementary school in many northern Minnesota towns. She remained in Duluth for many years before moving to Brainerd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; son, John; her parents; two sisters, Eva and Florence; and two brothers, Alvin and A. Verne.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Juanita Webber; six nieces; four nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorials to Grace Presbyterian Church in Kelliher, MN 56650, or First Presbyterian Church in Duluth, MN 55805. Arrangements entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter, Minn.
