Hats off to McDonald's

Wow. That's all you can say about the new McDonald's on Washington Street in Brainerd. It's a great building with great staff and great architecture. The phones are really cool and service was very prompt even on that first night when it was extremely busy. Hats off to the new McDonald's in Brainerd.

Works for the people

I don't agree with the person who said that Bob Olson should resign. We need to keep people that are on the city council that work for the people not for the city.

Train bells

The city council should carefully consider any project promoted by anyone connected with Paul Bunyan. After all, Paul Bunyan started out to be a gift to a non-profit organization in the Brainerd/Baxter area. He ended up being sold to a profit organization out in the hinterlands. It's all about money.

Wake up call

Thank you to our state auditor for wanting the state Legislature to consider a cap on contract values for school superintendents. The time has come to put a stop to free health insurance for principals and superintendents. School districts are short of money and health care projected hikes for next year are up 12 percent. ...
