Dave J. Beckman
PEQUOT LAKES -- Dave Jacob Beckman, 58, Pequot Lakes, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in New Hampton, Iowa, to Jacob and Gladys (Yearling) Beckman. He graduated from New Hampton High School. He served in the Air Force for four years. Upon his honorable discharge he moved to the Twin Cities area where he was employed by Toro for 31 years, most of which was spent in management. He married Kay Putrah on April 25, 1981. They lived in Chanhassen. In 1998 they moved to their home on Lake Ossawinnamakee. He worked as a machinist in Deerwood. He was a member of the American Legion in Robbinsdale.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ryan Beckman, Fargo, N.D., Scott Wilson, North Branch, and Jim Wilson, St. Louis Park; a daughter, Sandra Kraabel, Zimmerman; two brothers, Rick and Steve Beckman, both of Mason City, Iowa; and six grandchildren.
His parents died earlier.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
