Staples police Internet auction starts Oct. 5

STAPLES - The Staples Police Department will accept bids over the Internet from Oct. 5-12 for vehicles seized or abandoned. The police department will be selling 10 vehicles, all with clear titles.

The auction will be implemented by the State of Minnesota Department of Administrative Surplus Auction services. Those interested in participating in the Internet auction will need to sign up at www.MinnBid.org. They also can sign up by going through the city's Web site, www.staples.govoffice.com, through the police department's auction section.

Details and photos of the vehicles for sale are available at www.MinnBid.org. The vehicles also can be viewed from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Staples utilities complex at 12th Street and Michigan Avenue Northeast.
