GARRISON - The Garrison Seniors meeting will be noon Tuesday at the Garrison City Hall building on Central Street. Members are to bring their own plates, cups and utensils and a food item to share. Following the meal, Dick Honetschlager, of Heartland Senior Federation, will share information about their group. Co-presidents Vince Clemons and Howard Spiess remind members to bring nominations for 2008 officers and ask that snowbirds pay their 2008 memberships ($5 each) before leaving for their winter homes. Members should also sign up and pay their $4 each for the December dinner and bring their suggestions for 2008 programs and trips. October recycling is the first Monday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Southeast Brainerd Residents Association (SEBRA) will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Brainerd Police Department.

Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary annual dinner
The Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary will hold their annual membership dinner Monday at the American Legion, 708 Front Street. All members who have paid their 2008 membership dues are invited to attend this complimentary dinner. Dues may be paid at the door. Department president Maire Goede will be the keynote speaker. Special guests will be District president Sharon Higgins and Girl State Citizens Sarah Pfingsten and Emily Brink. Donations will be accepted for the hospitalized veterans holiday gift shop.
Annual meeting planned
The Bethany Good Samaritan Auxiliary will hold its annual meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday in the main dining room at Bethany. They will be reviewing the sponsorships and goals for 2008. Also they will kick off the membership drive for 2008. The Gift Shop meeting will meet prior to the Auxiliary meeting at 9:30 a.m.
Relay for Life fundraiser
A Tastefully Simple Relay For Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Merrifield Marathons Center.
Eating Disorder group
BAXTER - The Eating Disorder Association of Central Minnesota has been organized. Their mission is to educate the public and establish a greater understanding and awareness of eating disorders, while supporting those suffering with an eating disorder and all affected by it, through education and creating a network of all available treatment options.
Officers are Justina Richter, president; Margie Young, vice president; Sandi Day, secretary; Larry Embertson, treasurer.
The support group meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. Also offered are speaking engagements in which personal stories and educational information are shared.

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP - The Community Ladies Aid harvest supper will begin at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Deerfield Townhall. There will be turkey and ham served as well as a variety of other items.
