Brainerd blanks Tech

ST. CLOUD - Kelly Rosenthal scored two goals to propel the Brainerd Warriors past the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 2-0 in Central Lakes Conference girls' soccer Thursday.

"Kelly had two goals in a really big game," said Warriors coach Steve Kimble. "Tech is a good opponent. To beat them on their home field is a great accomplishment and Kelly played perfectly."

The win gives the Warriors 12-straight wins after season-opening losses to metro power-houses Eagan and Wayzata.

Keeper Betsy van der Hagen made four saves in goal for the Warriors as they upped their conference record to 10-0 and their overall mark to 12-2.
