Virgil Crawford won the 2007 Brainerd Legion golf league with 217 points.
Placing second for the fourth year in a row was Stan Stydnicki with 210. Placing third was Les Henningson with 194.
Last year's winner, Ron Holloway, finished seventh.
The league played a 20-week schedule at Eagles Landing and featured 36 players and substitutes.
Oliphant basketball tournament scheduled
The Central Lakes College Foundation, in cooperation with the Minnesota Basketball Association, will sponsor the third annual Jeff Oliphant Memorial Basketball Tournament Jan. 19-20 in Brainerd and Crosby.
The event is open to boys and girls in grades 5-9.
All proceeds go to the CLC Foundation for the Jeff Oliphant Scholarship. The foundation annually presents $500 scholarships to graduates of C-I and Brainerd high schools.
Oliphant was a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School. He and his wife, a Brainerd High School graduate, attended CLC. At the time of his death in 2005, Oliphant was an assistant professor of kinesiology and director of athletic training at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Herath to speak to boosters club
Brainerd Warriors cross country coach Dave Herath will be the speaker at the Brainerd Sports Boosters Club meeting, which begins at noon Thursday at the Moose Lodge.
Nate Schaefbauer, the Warrior Athlete of the Week, will be honored.
