Beef Day planned at Ag Center Oct. 4
The Brainerd Community Ag Center, the former Brainerd High School farm, invites the community to join area beef producers for a field day open house Oct. 4.
Learn about the Ag Center and how you can join the beef team and area businesses in supporting ag education.
Schedule for the event is as follows: 9:30 a.m. registration; 10 a.m. welcome and hands-on demonstrations on pasture management and winter feeding, presented by the NRCS and U of M Beef Team; a noon lunch and program with hands-on demonstrations on ultrasound pregnancy determination by the U of M Beef Team; and a wrap-up presentation at 3 p.m. with presenters that include Cliff Lamb, Ryon Walker and Grant Crawford of the beef team and Mark Hayek from NRCS.

Tuesday airport commission meeting canceled
The Tuesday regular meeting of the Brainerd Regional Airport Commission has been canceled because of a lack of a quorum. Instead, the Tuesday agenda will be incorporated into the commission's Nov. 6 meeting agenda.
