Theodore Bonau, Merrifield native and son of Tom Bonau and Connie Bruesch, was awarded the Freshman Presidential Scholarship to attend the University of North Dakota beginning in the 2004 fall semester. Bonau graduated from Brainerd High School in the spring of 2004.
Angela Rassier, Brainerd, accepted a $1,000 Transfer Student Scholarship from Bemidji State University for the 2004-2005 academic year. She is a junior majoring in elementary education and art education and will transfer from Central Lakes College. The scholarship is available to Minnesota community college transfer students who have completed an associate degree with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
Bradley Holste, Little Falls; Sarah Sellnow, Motley; and Sarah Nelson and David Kuck, Brainerd, have been named to the dean's list at North Dakota State University, Fargo, for classes they completed this past summer. Nelson is majoring in pre-accounting, Kuck in computer science, and Holste and Sellnow in communications.
Adam Miller and Cassandra Young, Brainerd, have both entered Liberty University, a Christian liberal arts university in Lynchburg, Va., as freshmen this fall. Both students graduated from Lake Region Christian School.
