AITKIN -- Aitkin's Matt Nadeau exploded for 193 yards rushing and three touchdowns as the Gobblers football team held off Onamia 42-34 in Great River Conference play Friday.
Nadeau started the fireworks with a 43-yard touchdown catch from Gobbler quarterback Adam Siemers in the first quarter.
Onamia fought back and took the lead in the third quarter, but Nadeau blasted in from two yards out late in the period to tie it back up. Siemers later gave Aitkin the lead for good in the fourth with a three yard plunge.
