CHULA VISTA, Calif. (AP) -- Miles Dabord's mother wants doctors to remove life support systems from her son, who is suspected of killing his brother, former NBA player Bison Dele.

Dabord, 35, remained in critical condition Friday morning at Scripps Memorial Hospital, spokeswoman Monica Montano said. She declined to say whether the hospital had received a request from the brothers' mother, Patricia Phillips, to remove life support.

Dabord, believed to be the only person who could have told investigators firsthand what happened to Dele, slipped into a coma after overdosing on insulin and failing to take his asthma medication, his mother said.

Reached at home late Thursday, Phillips refused to comment.
