ALBANY - Brainerd Warriors cross country teams continued their dominance Tuesday as they swept the boys' and girls' races at the Albany Invitational.
The boys' team, ranked fourth in Class 2A, scored a perfect 15 points and was led by Thomas Ruttger's winning time of 16:37. Luke Delaney followed him in second place with a time of 16:39.
"Thomas and Luke ran very well," Warriors coach Dave Herath said, "They had the top two times ever on that course."

Dean was fourth at 17:13. Mitch Lorenz rounded out the Warriors' scoring, placing fifth with a time of 17:20.
"Tyler was with Thomas and Luke, cramped up and still finished third," Herath said.
The girls team, the top-ranked team in 2A, took home first place with a score of 17 points.
Hannah McAllister broke the 16-minute barrier and placed first with a time of 15:38.
Jenna Dean was right on McAllister's heels as she finished at 15:39 to finish second.
"Never had anyone broke 16 minutes (at Albany) and then Hannah and Jenna just slaughtered it," Herath said. "They ran incredibly well."

Courtney Wing finished at 16:09 and placed third, Meghan Holmes was fourth with a time of 16:10 and Katherine Mueller finished seventh with a time of 16:42 to round out the Warriors' scoring.
"To have Katherine be our fifth girl and to come in seventh place was really nice," Herath said.
"It was a smaller meet with only eight teams," Herath added. "We need those once in a while. We didn't put any expectations on the meet."
Joey Doyscher came in eighth and Gunner Johnson placed 15th for the Warrior boys.
Gretchen Kletscher placed ninth and Kacie Bahr 13th for the girls as no Brainerd runner, boy or girl, placed higher than 15th.
