If you want to hear what reviewers have called "a national treasure," then you'll head to the Pequot Lakes High School auditorium Friday night for the Prudence Johnson performance.
The Twin Cities-based vocalist -- known for her rich alto voice and jazzy tunes -- will appear at 7:30 p.m. But get there early. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
On the other end of the musical spectrum, Legacy Five, heir apparent to southern gospel greats, The Cathedrals, will appear in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Tornstrom Auditorium, Washington Middle School, Brainerd.
Two of the group's members once anchored The Cathedrals, who disbanded at the top of their career a few years back. Tickets are $15 at the gate.
