PINE RIVER -- Pine River Heritage Days, sponsored in part by the Pine River Chamber of Commerce, will run Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6.
The event will include a Quilt Show at the United Methodist Church both days. Quilters are invited to display their quilts and wall hangings both days. Quilts and wall hangings will be judged by audience and exhibitors. Call 587-2369 for information on the Quilt Show.
Heritage Days will also include various heritage art and craft displays throughout Pine River. Displays include heritage food preparation, yarn spinning and quilting demonstrations along with other heritage exhibits.
Gardeners are also invited to bring garden and farm produce, such as pumpkins, wood products, hay or straw bales, corn shocks or other produce into Pine River to sell during the two days.
A health fair will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Pine River-Backus High School Commons. Activities include hearing, blood pressure and diabetes screenings and demonstrations, including CPR and Relex-ology. Admission will be free.
