PEQUOT LAKES - Mattie Lueck handed out 34 set assists to help Pequot Lakes past Mid-State Conference opponent Staples-Motley 3-0 Thursday.

Emily Lueck recorded 24 digs while Kirsten Noska slammed 10 kills and five ace serves to guide the Patriots to their first conference win.

Ashley Miles contributed 19 set assists for the Cardinals.

Wadena-Deer Creek 3, Park Rapids 1

WADENA - Class 2A's ninth-ranked Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines continued to get solid play from a number of players in putting down the Park Rapids Panthers 3-1 in Mid-State Conference action Thursday night.

The Wolverines were led by Brittney Noon with 18 kills while Rachel Craig and Kelly DeFoe had 13 and 12 blocks, respectively. Floor leader Courtney Volkmann had 29 set assists along with seven ace serves and Mandy Perkins had 10 digs.

Wadena-Deer Creek took the first two games 25-12, 25-19 before Park Rapids rallied to win the third 27-25. The Wolverines shut the door in the fourth 25-11.

Lacey Lindahl had 15 set assists for the Rangers while Katie Swanhorst and Marcie Hendrickson added four kills apiece.
