ONAMIA -- Clifford C. Hansen, 88, Onamia, and formerly of Granite Falls, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Veterans Hospital in St. Cloud.
He was born Oct. 2, 1911, to Jens and Andrea (Nelson) Hansen. He attended school in Onamia. He married Helen on Nov. 29, 1933, in Milaca. He worked in construction most of his life, building churches. He retired in 1972. He was also an active member of the VFW Post 955 and a member of United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert, Washkish; a daughter, Peggie Krueger, Apple Valley; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Myrtle Stewart, Waconia.
Three sisters and six brothers died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church of Onamia with the Rev. Allen Clark Harris officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery of Onamia.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia and an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
