EDEN PRAIRIE (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings re-signed wide receiver Robert Baker on Tuesday and released safety Ron Israel.
Baker, one of the Vikings' last cuts after training camp, was a standout in NFL Europe this year after an injury plagued career with Miami. He adds depth at receiver, where Randy Moss and D'Wayne Bates -- the top two on the depth chart -- are both bothered by injuries.
Moss has back spasms, and Bates missed last Sunday's game with a sprained foot.
Israel played in one game, recording one special teams tackle.
