Herbert C. Heidecker

BAXTER - Herbert C. Heidecker, 92, Baxter, Minn., passed away at Diamond Willow in Baxter on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009. He was born April 7, 1917, in St. Paul to Charles and Maybell Heidecker.

Herbert worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a car man and lived all his life in the Brainerd lakes area.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Viola; son, Keith (Shirley), Brainerd; his daughter, Roberta Tumms, Eden Prairie; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd with Pastor Harold Tongen officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. No memorials preferred.
