Brainerd's Warriors, starting from their 28 after the opening kickoff, went 72 yards in four plays for an 8-0 lead against Cambridge. But from there on it was all Blue Jackets as Cambridge won the battle of unbeatens, 20-8.

The Brainerd City Council accepted with regret the resignation of Joe DeRosier, second ward councilman. DeRosier recently accepted a position with the Brainerd State Hospital. State rules say an employee may not hold a paid governmental position.

A contribution of $170 from the machinists at Northern Pacific railroad will be added to the $3,380 already raised in the Crow Wing County polio fund campaign, it was announced by Clyde Gorham, co-chairman.

Four kids, ages 9 to 12, have confessed to wholesale pilfering, from petty robbery to break-ins, to shoplifting since last winter. Sheriff Claus Theorin said the boys stashed their loot around town and traded it to other boys for things they wanted.

Football practice began with the Brainerd high school squad this week and 18 candidates were out for the first practice. The prospects for a strong team this year are not excellent, nor are they poor. The weight of the eleven will not be up to standard.
