Robert L. Ahlgrim

Robert L. Ahlgrim, 87, Brainerd, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Brainerd.

He was born April 3, 1916, in Brainerd to Louis and Alice (Prentice) Ahlgrim. He was a sergeant in the Army/Air Corps and served in World War II. He retired from the Brainerd Post Office after many years of service as a carrier. He enjoyed cooking.

Survived by his wife, Barbara of Brainerd; his son, Zachary Ahlgrim of Brainerd; his daughters, Kay (Howard) Churchill of Brainerd, Elizabeth (Gale) Weiland of Minneapolis, and Sharon (David) Knapp of Florida; three grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

His parents, four brothers and two sisters, preceded him in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd, with Pastor Dave Grotzke officiating. Friends may call an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
