Pierz -- Kilah Berry led the Brainerd Warriors junior varsity volleyball team to a fifth-place showing in the Pierz tournament Saturday.
Berry had a team-high 6 ace serves and 28 set assists.
The Warriors defeated Milaca 15-9, 13-15, 15-8; lost to Sauk Centre 15-11, 15-12; lost to Onamia 15-7, 15-13; and defeated Pequot Lakes 15-2, 13-15, 15-7.

THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) -- Tiger Woods went 51 consecutive holes with nothing worse than a 4 on his scorecard, and he claimed his fifth World Golf Championship event at the American Express Championship. He earned $1 million.
Woods finished at 25-under 263 for a one-stroke victory against Retief Goosen.
With his fifth PGA Tour victory this year, and sixth worldwide, Woods became the first player since Arnold Palmer (1960-63) to go four straight years with at least five tour victories.
McGriff hits milestone
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Chicago Cubs first baseman Fred McGriff became the first major leaguer to hit 30 homers in a season with five teams when he homered in Pittsburgh. It also was his first in PNC Park, the record 42nd park in which he has homered.
Harwell says goodbye
DETROIT (AP) -- Ernie Harwell called his last Tigers game in Detroit. The 84-year-old radio announcer will retire after 42 seasons with the team and 55 seasons of calling major league games.
The Tigers presented Harwell with Comerica Park's home plate, and news that the stadium's press box will be officially dubbed "The Ernie Harwell Media Center" from 2003.
Irish move into top 10
NEW YORK (AP) -- Notre Dame moved into the top 10 in the new Associated Press poll for the first timesince a one-week stay in the 2000 final regular-season Top 25.
Checking in at No. 10, the Irish (4-0) moved up two places from last week after Saturday's 21-17 victory at Michigan State.
While Miami remained a near-unanimous No. 1 choice over Oklahoma and Texas, Tennessee's 30-13 loss to Florida dropped it seven places to No. 11, while the Gators climbed three places to No. 7.
Dele's brother critical
PAPEETE, Tahiti (AP) -- The brother of missing former NBA player Bison Dele reportedly is on life support, and FBI agents were wrapping up their investigation in Tahiti.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Dele's brother, Miles Dabord, is "dead, living only through artificial means," according to his mother, Patricia Phillips. She said doctors discovered severe damage to her son's brain as a result of an insulin overdose and failure to take his asthma medication.
Wild blank Oilers
EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) -- Manny Fernandez had 25 saves in his first exhibition game and the Minnesota Wild beat the Edmonton Oilers 1-0 Sunday night.
Stephane Veilleux scored 6:47 into the game for the Wild (1-0-1-0).
Fernandez, who played the entire game, stopped two shots by Mike Comrie from close range in the opening five minutes. He stopped Comrie again on a tight-angle rush midway through the second and denied Jason Chimera's chip-in attempt with the period winding down.
Fernandez had one shutout last season with Minnesota, posting a 12-24-5 record with a 2.85 goals-against average.
Jeff Deslauriers also played the whole game and had 20 saves for the Oilers (1-2-0-0).
