MANKATO -- Valerie Diedrich led the way for the Central Lakes College Raiders volleyball team, which finished second in pool play, before dropping its match to Mesabi to finish the Bethany tournament in a two-way tie for third place.
Bethany defeated the Raiders 30-23, 30-24 before CLC knocked off Rock Valley 30-26, 30-18 and Iowa Lakes 32-31, 30-27. Mesabi then clipped the Raiders 27-30, 30-19, 8-15.
Diedrich finished the tournament with 28 kills, 25 digs and four blocks. Setter Abby Leach recorded 80 set assists, 22 digs and three kills. Lexi Palo added 28 kills, 5 blocks and 10 digs.
