John Haberman led St. Olaf to a 29-23 six overtime victory over St. Thomas Saturday.
The 2006 Brainerd graduate was 13-of-22 for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He also rushed for 42 yards on 23 carries.
Haberman left the game late in the second quarter because of illness and dehydration. He came back at the start of the second half and lead the Oles on an 11-play, 99-yard touchdown drive, which included a 13-yard pass on 4th and 10 to former high school teammate Jared Mueller.
Muller had two catches for 20 yards.
The six overtimes was a division III record. St. Olaf plays at Augsburg College Saturday.
