Nature cleared the way for Indian Summer overnight by dropping Brainerd temperatures to below freezing for the first time this fall season.

An overall remodeling project is under way at the Brainerd Daily Dispatch quarters on Sixth Street. The newspaper is preparing to expand into the quarters formerly occupied by Thrifty Drug Store.

This year's WHS Choir has an enrollment of 100. Everett Nelson is the choir director.

80 years ago (1927)
