Mounted Eagles, a therapeutic horsemanship program for people with disabilities, will host its third annual Walk-N-Roll fund-raising event Sept. 24 along the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway on County Road 16 in Pequot Lakes.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Gateway Gazebo at the corner of County Road 16 and Highway 371. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the gazebo for those choosing a 12-mile route. Those choosing a 5-mile route will be bused to the Old Milwaukee Club at Ideal Corners where they will leave at approximately 9:45 a.m. All participants should reach the finish line at Moonlite Bay Restaurant on County Road 66 in Crosslake at approximately the same time.
A silent auction will take place from 10 a.m.-noon at Moonlite Bay. Award ceremonies will be at 11 a.m. at Moonlite Bay. Awards will go to the team with the most participants, the team with the most pledges collected, the youth with the most pledges collected and the adult with the most pledges collected.
Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a bag of goodies when they turn in a $25 minimum pledge at registration. Children 8 and younger may participate in the event without collecting pledges.
All walkers, runners, bikers, Rollerbladers, skateboarders, wheelchairs, strollers and any other non-motorized method of transportation (excluding animals) are welcome.

Mounted Eagles provides therapeutic horsemanship classes for people with disabilities from five counties within and surrounding the Brainerd lakes area. The program takes place at the Clare B Training Center on County Road 22 in Brainerd. All donations are tax deductible.
