Nisswa Area Women of Today fall fashion show slated Oct. 11

The Nisswa Area Women of Today's 2005 fall fashion show will be Oct. 11 at Breezy Point Resort. The event, themed "Rock 'n' Rolling into Fashion," will showcase the latest fashions of area retailers, offer a meal and provide the opportunity to win prizes.

Proceeds will support Nisswa Park & Recreation, the Crisis Line Referral Service and the Nisswa First Responders.

The event will begin with social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the fashion show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person. Tables of 10 are available for $250.

Raffle tickets may be purchased for $1. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold. The grand raffle prizes include a twin-over-full-sized log bunk bed courtesy of Whalen Woods (valued at $1,250), a $300 gift certificate to Schaefer's Foods in Nisswa, a two-night getaway at Breezy Point Resort, a two-night getaway at the Quarterdeck, and a foursome of golf with cart at the Pines courtesy of Grand View Lodge.

Silent auction prizes will include 20 man-hours of assistance for household chores courtesy of Nisswa's volunteer firefighters.
