ANOKA -- Jacqueline "Pat" Sjostedt, 80, Anoka, formerly of McGregor, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Chicago to Leonard and Ruth (Lundstrom) Nelson. She graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago in 1940. She moved to Anoka in 1947 and worked as a receptionist for Piper Jaffrey in Minneapolis. She married Wesley Sjostedt on May 16, 1964, in Watertown, S.D. She moved to McGregor in 1974 and then to Anoka in 2000. She was a member of the McGregor VFW Auxiliary, a past president of the McGregor Bowling League and a member of the Lake Minnewawa Sportsman's Club. She was also active in the Girl Scouts of America and Red Cross organizations.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Gresens, Blaine, and Joyce Fromel, Cook; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her husband; a son, Dale; a daughter, Jacqueline Johnson; a stepson, Tom Sjostedt; and a brother died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the McGregor Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Norman officiating. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
