Isabelle M. Crosson

PEQUOT LAKES -- Isabelle M. Crosson, 89, Pequot Lakes, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River.

She was born Oct. 22, 1912, in Frankfurt, Penn., to George and Gertrude (Grogan) Smith. She graduated from high school in Minneapolis. She attended nursing school and worked as a practical nurse. She married Herbert H. Crosson Sr. in 1930. They moved to Missouri, then to Lakeville and then to Pequot Lakes. She moved to the Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center about a year ago. She volunteered with the Pequot Lakes School District and was a recipient of the Volunteer of the Year in Minnesota award. She was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Kelly, Ottawa, Ontario, and Susan Burgos, New Jersey; a sister, Patricia Dohorty, Canal Winchester, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Her husband; a daughter, Nancy Crosson; a son, Herbert Crosson Jr.; two sisters, Gertrude McArdle and Marjorie Berg; a brother, George Smith; and a grandson died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes with Father George Zeck officiating. Burial will be in Pequot Lakes City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Willim-Northland Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes.
