Patriots win second straight

CROOKSTON - Matt Michaelson rushed for 100 yards on 28 carries and Jeff Redmond threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to a 19-6 North Heart O'Lakes Conference victory over the Crookston Pirates.

Redmond hit Nic Johnsen for a 5-yard score and Dereck Grunzke on a 18-yard score. Shane Brewer returned a fumble 42 yards for a 13-0 third quarter lead.

Grunzke finished with five catches and 44 yards to help Pequot win its second straight and keep the Pirates winless on the season.
