PEQUOT LAKES - Victories by Kelsey Klucas, Tori Sundholm and the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles teams proppelled the Aitkin Gobblers to a 4-3 win over the Pequot Lakes Patriots Friday.
Klucas improved to 17-0 this season with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Megan Lenz. Sundholm topped Tricia Villella at No. 4 singles, but it was the older Villela that scored a marathon victory over Alice Browning at No. 2 singles.
Angela Villella defeated Browning 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, 7-5 in a match that lasted three hours.
