Kendal Rae Dehler, Isle, was awarded the $2,000 presidential scholarship for 2004-05 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, where she is a student working toward her associate in arts degree.
She is a 2004 Isle High School honors graduate.
Dehler participated in basketball, student council, band, choir and 4-H, and was a community volunteer in several projects serving others.
The scholarship is given to one who exhibits outstanding academic and leadership achievement as primary criteria. The award recipient must be a graduate of a high school within the Brainerd lakes area. The student must be enrolled full time at CLC and enter with a grade-point average of at least 3.75.
Dehler wants to pursue a career in elementary education.
Charles Praska, son of Gregory Praska and Janet Praska, Brainerd, received a bachelor of arts degree in economics, cum laude, from Carleton College in Northfield.
Heather McCulley, Pillager, was named to the dean's list for spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She is majoring in sociology, with a minor in criminal justice.
David Kuck, Brainerd, received a master of science degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.
