Kinship Partners

We would like to thank the Kinship staff and all volunteers and contributors who made the Kinship-Back-to-School-Picnic such a success! The Brainerd Lakes area is lucky to have hard working people and businesses that care about our kids. Have a great school year everyone!

Nisswa PTO

Many thanks to the Nisswa Elementary families who joined us at the Nisswa PTO back to school picnic Sept. 2.

Special thanks to the volunteers who helped the entire event go smoothly. We are so lucky to have such willing and able parents who step up whenever called upon!

Heartfelt thanks to Schaefer's Foods, which donated the food served at the picnic. You continue to support our "small town school" in so many different ways. You are appreciated more than you know.

Used book sale

The Friends of the Brainerd Public Library Summer Used Book Sale raised $5,500.35, a record for an August sale. Congratulations to a community that loves books, reading and the library! We appreciate everyone who donated books, purchased books and volunteered during the sale. We especially appreciate the help that Crow Wing County Sentence To Serve contributes. Proceeds of the sale support Book Club in a Bag, Brown Bag Author Visits, Bestsellers@BPL, children's programming and many other projects at the library. Donations may be dropped off during regular library hours. Please note we are no longer accepting donations of Reader's Digests, encyclopedias, and text books because of space limitations in the meeting room.
