Pierz girls win, boys 2nd

KIMBALL - Tracy Wimmer finished fourth and helped the Pierz Pioneers girls' cross country team run to first place in the Eden Valley-Watkins-Kimball Invite on Thursday night.

Wimmer was followed by teammates Sonja Theis, Mariah Hoheisel and Megan Hoheisel finished in the top nine.

Caleb Janson led the way for the Pierz boys, finishing seventh as the Pioneers finished second with 50 points. Eden Hanson was eighth and Ben Welle 10th for the Pioneers.

Flyer girls win

COLD SPRING - The Little Falls Flyers girls' team had four top 10 finishers in the Rocori Invitational on Thursday.

The Flyers' Manon Gammon-Deering finished fourth for the girls with teammate Beth Hauer a mere three seconds behind.

The Little Falls boys' team, despite having three top 10 finishes, finished third. Preston Zimney led the way for the Flyers, finishing sixth, while Justin Posterick was eighth and Eli Ploof finished ninth.
