Camp Ripley to induct six to Court of Honor Sunday
CAMP RIPLEY - Six former military personnel will be inducted Sunday into the Camp Ripley Court of Honor.

This bi-annual event began in 1933. Inductees are selected based on heroism or distinguished professional achievement and service during their service to the country.

This year's honorees are Lt. Col. Brevet Jack K. Johnson of Stillwater, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Leonard J. Posch of Little Falls, Sgt. Maj. Allan K. Knutson of Grove City, 1st Sgt. Jerome R. Bentz of New Ulm, Master Sgt. Charles L. Farrow of Vadnais Heights and Cpl. Edmund S. Motzko of Sauk Centre.

The group of six honorees has a total of 149 years of combined service. Each has an extensive service history with individual honorees serving oversees during war times and as guiding forces in posts closer to home.

The event starts with a chapel service at 11 a.m. in the Camp Ripley Chapel. The official ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. in the Camp Ripley Recreation Center and the unveiling of the Court of Honor will take place on the Minnesota Military Museum grounds following the ceremony.
