LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Alejandro Sanz, who dominated last year's Latin Grammys, swept its major categories on Wednesday night, taking home trophies for album, song, and record of the year.
Sanz, from Spain, was up for four awards. He won album of the year honors for "MTV Unplugged" and record and song of the year for "Y Solo Se Me Ocurre Amarte."
Last year, the crooner's song and album "El Alma Al Aire" earned him four Latin Grammys.
Rosie pulls plug on magazine
NEW YORK (AP) -- Former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell abruptly quit her namesake magazine Wednesday, citing a deteriorating relationship with the magazine's publisher, Gruner + Jahr USA.
O'Donnell said Gruner + Jahr had been gradually taking control away from her in violation of their contract, and it was no longer possible for the magazine to continue. The last issue will be in December, G+J said.
Trial date set in Winona Ryder
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Actress Winona Ryder will go to trial next month on charges she stole designer merchandise and illegally possessed painkillers
Superior Court Judge Elden Fox set Oct. 7 as the trial date Wednesday after plea bargain negotiations broke down.
Ryder, 30, is charged with second-degree burglary, grand theft, vandalism and possession of a controlled substance. She could face three years in prison if convicted.
