The Shriner's Hospital for Children in Minneapolis is looking for more children.
The hospital will hold a free clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 for children ages 17 or younger. A medical specialist will evaluate the children. The Shriner's offers free orthopedic medical care to any child with a condition that affects the bones, muscles and joints.

The hospital offers transportation. If a person from the Brainerd lakes area needs a ride, can call Shriner Bernie Carter at 828-9438. Carter provides transportation to Crow Wing, Cass, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties.
Carter has driven 10,000 miles this year on trips to the hospital and served 110 children. He said there are 35 drivers in the area.
The hospital, which is privately funded, provides treatment for cerebral palsy; club foot; scoliosis; spine, hand, foot and leg deformities; hip problems, arm and leg length discrepancies; limb deficiencies, juvenile arthritis; spina bifida; rickets; arthrogyposis; and brittle bone disease.
