The top five fall fashion looks listed

Posted: Wednesday, September 19, 2001

The stores are bursting at the seams with fall merchandise. Glamour magazine editor in chief Cindi Leive sifted through it and chose her favorites.

Her picks for the five "must-have" items are:

-- A peasant blouse. This isn't a "summer of love" throwback, says Leive. It's current looking, and its available in every color and price range.

-- Great boots. Most boots with even a little heel are dressy enough to wear to work, with full, long or miniskirts, but they do double-duty on the weekend because they also look good with jeans.

-- Something in leather or suede. From a full coat to a skirt or even a handbag, there are dozens of options to suit just about any style.

-- Pink. Maybe a chiffon or very thin blouse with ruffles around the neck, suggests Leive. This also is half of another trend: the feminine-masculine look.

-- Very tailored bottoms. You need slim, man-style pants or a skirt to wear with that frilly blouse.
