PERHAM -- After losing to Perham in the Mid-State Conference tournament Sept. 15, the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines showed some mental toughness and came back to defeat Perham Tuesday by a score of 4-3.
Leading the way for the wolverines was Beth Hemming who, after beating Jenny Teeley, pushed her season record to an impressive 10-4. The deciding match fell into the hands of Becky Miller and Mikaela Hutson who after losing the first set 3-6 came back to win the next two 6-4, 6-3 for the victory.
