WALKER -- The Cass County Board adopted a resolution Tuesday condemning the terrorist action Sept. 11, supporting President George W. Bush and the national security team and recommending county residents support relief efforts by donating blood.

National Association of Counties has recommended all counties in the country adopt similar resolutions.

Cass will receive $123,120 for snowmobile and ski trails maintenance and grooming this year.

The board approved Brevik Estates plat in Boy Lake Township and Hilltop Estates plat in Shingobee Township.

Up to $35,000 will be spent to re-carpet portions of the courthouse.

Wilkinson Township Supervisor Larry Martinson was appointed to the county budget committee. Dee Anderson was appointed to Cass County Region 5 Council on Aging.

Minnesota Multiple Sclerosis Society will donate funds to permit the county to make the lower level entry to Health and Human Services Building handicapped accessible.

The board received notice the Teamsters Union will seek a vote of sheriff's department essential employees on union representation.

Currently, Teamsters represents non-essential (clerical and dispatch) employees. Those voting will be deputies and jailers. Currently, they are represented by the Law Enforcement Labor Services union.
