Sewer proposals to be aired Oct. 8

WALKER -- Public comment will be received at 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Walker School cafeteria on three community sewer alternate proposals for the Y junction area of Highways 371 and 200.
Short-range needs for Northern Lights Casino and long-range needs for the entire commercial-residential area around the Y will be discussed.
Three sites are being considered: private property east of the Y, Walker city treatment system and county land south of Onigum Road in Turtle Lake Township.
