MENAHGA - After falling behind 2-1, the Pillager Huskies battled back to claim their first Park Region Conference victory in two years with a 3-2 win over the Menahga Braves Thursday.
It was also the first conference win for third-year Huskies head coach Christine Ganley, who singled out the play of senior Bristy Bourgoin.
"She played the game of her life," said Ganley. "She had a terrific night passing and digging (23) and served 23 for 24 with three ace serves. She also served about eight points in the final game."
Also singled out was Kaylie Hanson, who tallied 12 kills and 24 digs and went 16 for 17 serving with seven aces.
Emily Doss had 24 set assists and 16 digs and Jackie White contributed 10 kills with 20 digs and two blocks.

PINE RIVER - Kendra Hamilton racked up 11 kills, four blocks and two ace serves and Katie Wangberg added 16 set assists and 10 digs for the Pine River-Backus Tigers en rout to a 3-1 win over the Aitkin Gobblers Thursday.
Emalee Arends added nine kills and five ace serves for the Tigers.
Aitkin's Catlin Landrus finished with 11 digs and Kristy Hoge 9 added nine digs.
